I took my horse out on a trail this afternoon, nothing big just walk and a tiny bit of a trot, seriously like trotted twice on the trail and we walked the rest. Give or take we were out there for like 2 hours, with me being on the phone, I know, I shouldn't but, my horse doesn't care and if something would have happened I would have put the phone down in a heart beat.
We walked up the main trail, onto another part of the trail and saw an awesome opening with grass and trees you can sit under, well we decided to sit down and I let him graze, while I was on the phone and I sat under the tree (i wish I had pictures, it was so gorgeous). Than I got up and mounted back up on him, from the ground and he just stood perfectly still and normally he walks off.
Went down another set of trail and I hopped off of him and again he stood perfectly still and we walked the rest of the way home and as I ran, he ran right along side of me like "hold on mommy" and he never passed me. Like a well trained horse should.
I might be going back out tomorrow and I am most definitely taking my camera and I'm also not going to tack him up, I'm figuring we'll just walk out there but, either way I am going to grab my halter and lead rope and grab a snack or something and we are going to sit in the field of grass and I'm going to let him graze, while I snack, like a fairy tale. :)
Can't wait but, yeah I had the most awesome day (in a long time) with my horse. Just thought I should share.
