What could he be worth

Just for the heck of it. I wanted to see what you thought my horse would be worth in a good market and a bad market

Name: Bag of Bones aka Bob
Age: 11
Breed: Belgian/TB 16.1
Discipline: does great on the trails with other horses and well leave the herd but needs firm hand to go out alone. Has been ridden english and western at walk, trot and canter. Started over ground poles, cavaletti and small jumps and started in some low level dressage stuff. Very gentle and level headed. Does great with any other animals and children. Not hard to catch and loves to be groomed on, great with feet, shots, and had his teeth done and wasn't all the way asleep but didn't fight at all. He is a very easy keeper and can't be out on grass without a time limit or without a grazing muzzle. (he does'nt have ems or cushings) and his weight is being managed.

Nice horse but really overweight.

Here he would sell for a high of ~$500 or $600 to a low of $250. Those are what I believe would be the amount that would change hands - not asking price or auction price. It's been so long since a good market that it's hard to guess but if I had to, I'd say $1,000 to $1,500 tops.

Our prices are rock bottom especially going into winter. You don't want to know what horses were going for at auction this past Saturday.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

At an auction in Ontario he would probably go for $500-$600. On the private market he would probably go for $1000, In my area people are looking for a horse that is lighter on his feet more of a QH TB type.

Hes not overweight...these pictures are from when i got him back in may and was fighting his weight. I just weight taped him and had a vet look at him and hes at 1324 and when i got him he was well into the 1500 to 1600. He was really really fat when i got him hes not overweight right know as hes ridden more and limited food.

I agree with the opinions above. He is adorable and IMO looks kinda like a Cleveland Bay cross even though he isn't ;) Since he's not registered with any association (I'm assuming), and has no spefic area of training or showing, he wouldn't bring much more than $1,500 at most, I would think anyways.

In my area he might sell for $400 to $600, tops. That's private sale.

In the pictures you posted, he IS overweight. Do you have recent pictures? If he's in better shape now, and looks it- he might fetch a little more.

Looks like a really nice draft cross. What he's actually worth, is what someone is willing to pay, who really wants him.

I know it's not the topic, but what's with the house slanting so badly toward the back?? Yikes!
