A lot of funny things have happened on the trail. The thing that comes to mind first, though, is a friend and I were riding and were passing a fenced off piece of property with several cows and a bull. My friend looks towards that fenced off area and exclaims, "Look at the balls on that cow! They are huge!" I thought it was hilarious.

Oh gowd, you guys have me

Heres mine:
One time me and a friend were riding out. We only had the one horse between us so switched half way round. My firend is a good 10" taller than me and we were riding a 14.2ish mare who is a little small even for me. So I went to hold tother sturrip for my friend to get on. Well she sprung up and on... and straight over the top landing on me on the other side of the saddle. We both ended up sprawled on the floor unable to stand from laughing. Luckily Patch was very laid back and just stood there looking at us crazy fools!

Another time I had just finished riding a fairly short, young new pony at my stables. He wasn't the easiest ride being unbalanced, bouncy and laid back so after an hour of leg work, my legs simply gave up on me. I swung my leg up to dismount, but my jelly leg didnt respond properly. I ended up with one foot on the ground and the other hooked over the saddle. This was in front of several kids, parents and 2 instructors. I becaume acutly aware everyone was watching me but no matter how I tried I simply couldn't unhook my leg in a dignified way. I wriggled a little more and my leg suddenly pinged free sending me flying backwards. Deffinatly a day to forget
Cinder likes this.

When I was in my late teens early twenties I worked on cattle stations contract mustering. This one day it was decided that we would go and bring some horses in and use them instead of bikes.
The horses were young and had very little handling, being broken in as two year olds, ridden for a few weeks and than bushed again. The mare that I was told to ride for the day was this gorgeous pure black Australian stock horse 4yr old. I had ridden her a couple of times previously and really liked her, although I had found out that she liked to test you out! This mare could buck, and not like the little roots from the pony camp horses that I grew up on!
Anyways we had a reasonably good morning and were getting close to the yards with the cattle when the station owner (the man paying me!!) drove up to check our progress. A few old cows were breaking from the mob as another lady and I (the owner of the horse) were talking to the man so I cantered off to go retrieve them.
Well didn't this mare put on a show lol she dropped her head and let loose, all four feet off the ground! Needless to say I got dumped rite in front of the very two people that really shouldn't have seen it and the mare just stood there waiting for me to get back on, I'm sure she was laughing at me too!
