About $2000 That amount has grown exponentially over the years.
On the serious side I guess I was just the typical little girl who wanted a horse and nagged my parents enough that they finally got me one.

Rode my first horse when I was 4, as a kindy farm trip. As far as I know from then on I was hooked But got my first horse and lessons when I was bout 8 - 9yrs.

I also had a rocking horse I used to go crazy on , lol, so much so it would lift off the ground haha

I had always wanted to take lessons. I knew my older brothers had gone riding when they were younger, they were much older than me at that point. They had only told me horror stories of horses taking off etc, but I want to take a lesson. After that first ride I was hooked. I haven't turned back since. Let me tell you I would be rich if it weren't for the money I spend on my horses.

Haha! This is going to make me sound so spoilt!

My sister had a riding lesson on her birthday and we all went to watch, then basically, I wanted a go! So I had a lesson the next week and about a year later we bought Misty

Another good question for this thread is "What is keeping you into horses" despite the falls and near calls

My friend. We used to walk to the beach (her on the pony) and me on foot. Eventually my Dad agreed to let me get one if I help with my friends for 6 months!

My wife's childhood dream and passing a small 'Foals for Sale' sign at the Paint breeder down the road about a thousand times before actually stopping to look (and buy mare #1, and buy mare #2 6 months later, and buy mare #3 a year later) LOL.
