    What should I do ?

OK, so a few weeks ago I got a horse from a 17 year old girl , Camanche , and brought him home with me . She had 4 horses , a one acre lot with little grass and the condition of all the horses was so so . I told her she could keep in contact with me and I would send her pics if she wanted so she knew he was OK. Camanche was free, and felt like it would be the nice thing to do to keep in contact . Well , she is also a friend on my fb and I have been posting things about wanting to possibly turn him into a barrel horse (if I can do it ) or do competition trails. I had also posted pics of him in his halter a few times as well. So, to get to the point she is getting on my page telling me that I need to take his halter off , he doesn't need it cause he's an easy catch and what not . (I don't leave halters on my horses 24/7 but they have one one when I'm working with them ) She then presumes to tell me she didn't give him to me to do competitions or what not cause that ruins a horse ?! I really just want to be done with her , but don't want to be rude cause after all she did give him to me , but that being said he is mine and I shouldn't have to be questioned with what I want to do with him . I know this is a little ranting and I am sorry , just aggravating ! I don't want to hurt her feeling because like I said she is only 17 ....what would ya'll do ?

Can't you just change what group she's in and the adjust what she can read off your wall?

Limit her access to posts on FB. Or lie and tell her your FB got hacked so you are deleting it, but here is your email! And then delete and block her.

Yep yep, cut ties the best you can. Preferably clean but if you have to just fudge fb a little so she does not see your stuff that would be ok too maybe until you can cut her all the way out.

First do you have paper that say the horse is your clean and free?? If not you need to get them other wise she could start something . After that you could tell her that he like trail riding and you think he would like to win some ribbons, make it positive for her, some people think when you say compaction you are going to work the horse in to the ground

It's not just that , she is also texting me as well if I don't respond to her comments ....ugh ...what did I get myself into . I am 25 , married and with kids ...I don't have time for this . My main thing is , I don't want to crush a 17 year old's feelings . I been trying to think of the nicest way possible to tell her that he's mine and I can do what I feel is fit . I am not going to by any means hurt or traumatize this horse . I dunno...she had said something about one point she had wanted him back and was missing him , but I love him to death already and the place he was staying was not the greatest by what I could tell .

I have all of his vet paper work ; coggins , where his teeth were floated , and shots. I don't have "a bill of sale " but I did drive from about an hour and a half with my friends to get him . So I have witnesses and I have emails from her as well telling me about Comanche and that he was free , and her directions to her house and what not .

OMG! Get a bill of sale or something that says she gave him to you asap! I would hate to have a horse I fell in love with taken away because she misses him or gets jealous or what ever. That's crazy!

Tell her you are going to have some expensive test run or something like that but you cannot have it done until you can prove he is yours so you need her to sign something.
