What would YOU do?

Ok, I recently found out a girl from my hometown (I'm from a really small town) is using this forum. I thought hey! Cool! What a coincidence! Just for fun, I looked at some of her posts, because I don't really know her (I have her on facebook but that's about it) and figured she might have a nice horse or something.

But then when I looked back through her posts.. I found posts of horses belonging to my good friends, with elaborate stories about "her" horses. Let me assure you -- she does not even know these horses whatsoever. She just has the owner on facebook. One of them, RIP, has actually passed away.

How would you guys feel if someone was using your pictures and creating elaborate stories about your horses belonging to someone else? I'd be pretty offended, and a little freaked out, but really all I can think of is that she must be one desperate for attention girl to have to "steal" horses that she doesn't even know!

PS I have told the owner, showed her the post, and she's in the process of confronting the girl.

I would be rather pissed, truthfully.
But I would try to be nice, Its a shame someone has to lie about something, to feel like they are accepted.

that's sad...
I usually try to be nice but not encouraging [the lies I mean] to people like that, there must be something wrong in their life that makes them feel the need to get attention like that

I agree gypsygirl. It is sad.

I guess some people just don't think their life is exciting enough. I, myself, would rather just kinda fade into the background than be the center of attention.

OK OK this story just got ten times better.

We bring the grand total up to THREE horses that she "owns" which belong to three very different people. The posts where she owns them are MONTHS apart. In the betweentime, she posts about her horse which she does indeed own, pictures, videos, etc.

Well guess what? The three owners aren't very happy that their horses have been portrayed on the internet as belonging to someone else, and their pictures all over the internet. So, understandably (as I would do myself), they've confronted her. Her answer is this:

I was hacked months ago, yadda yadda ya, I didn't do it, blah blah blah, and no I will not now or never apologize to you.

My my my.. what a way to make a bad name for yourself in a small town horse industry :(

I left that up to the owners - two of the three have, and their posts have been removed.

In my opinion though.. an apology is necessary in this situation? Just because you take a picture of a horse, doesn't mean you own it lol

Some people should stick to pet rocks!

I would be pretty darn upset. This girl sounds like she needs to learn some manners.

I have actually had that happen to me on here. I told the mods, and I confronted the person that said that my romeo was their horse.
I have the "Barn" that they made of him. I was really scared that someone was going to take my horse (I know, not liely) but it really bothered me. And it didn't help that a certain MOD on here told me to stop lieing and judging someone.. . . . (Still makes me mad)
