What would you do? Hay Scenario.

Driving down the road, in the middle of the night, you spot six square bales on the side of the road...they have obviously fallen off a truck and the driver drove off unaware.

What ever would you do??

Do you pull over and toss them in the back? Do you leave them there for the next person to pick them up?

Keep in mind it is the middle of the night, so the person who lost them is not going to notice them until tomorrow, and they will not be there in the morning, because if you don't take them, someone else will.

Has this actually happened? Or are you just curious?

I would take the hay myself, if I don't get it, someone else will. Chances are the driver won't come back after traveling all that way...Free hay bales, mean a lot in Australia. With the drought, we'd take anything for free!

Finders keepers!!!!!! My hubby lost 3 bales one time....they fell off the flatbed truck and exploded on the highway. He picked up what he could and left the rest. He only recovered 1 bale that was only sort of broken. The next day on his way to work he noticed that the rest was cleaned up. It was our error and someone else took the time to get the 2 that were left behind. We weren't upset by it.

I would pick them up if it was a safe area to pull off and get them without getting hit myself.(especially since the price of hay is 18.00+ a bale)

Oh this has happened several times, for me. The answer for me is 98% yes! Pull over and toss it in the back. Of course you have that 2% of chance that that would not be an option.

I also say finders keepers! I'd also pick it up.
