I LOOOOVES me some feisty Arabs! Yet, somehow I! ended up with the TB... <3 <3 But, seriously, thanks everyone, again. Like I said it had nothing to do with the money, I'd have paid whatever, but when it was put to ME to make the OFFER I didn't want to seem offensive or give a number too low, thus implying that he wasn't worth much. He's absolutely priceless to my daughter & that's my problem. My initial offer would have been much higher than $500 if that number hadn't been brought up previously.

He knows when you're comfortable
He knows when you're confident
And he always knows when you have carrots.

$500.00 is fair. ask for the hackamore, why would the owner need it?
I would try to add a tad bit of weight to him after you Own him. ;)

The owner owns 3 other horses, that's why he would need the hackamore. Besides, it's ours to use whenever we need it, but for Christmas I wanted to make sure my daughter has her OWN stuff, just so that she doesn't have to readjust it or hunt for it when we go out there.

I agree with you about the weight 1,000%, I simply cannot WAIT to see him fill out quite a bit, I think he's gonna be a whole different horse.

Oh wow.... What a wonderful gift! So, I know of one person who's going to have an over-the-top great Christmas! And you're a mighty dear Momma to do it....

He's a good looking horse, and I think the $500 is an extremely good deal, given that he's sound and passes his vet check. Paying that additional $200 even if you don't have to will get you a lot more than $200 worth of good will in the long run.

How absolutely fun and what a wonderful Christmas gift! Now I hope your weather on Christmas day is great for riding...

...so a horse walks into a bar and the bar tender says "why the long face?"...
