Every time I plan to go ride at my trainer's place, it rains and makes the footing to sloppy to ride in. So my weather today, seeing as I wanted to go riding, is but of course, rain! I have not ridden in two weeks! This weather is killing me!

Strength is not defined by physical ability. It is determined by your actions and the compassion of your soul.

Ok, I'll do it in Celsius (it looks colder that way )
Our Winter weather can run from lows in the teens to highs reaching 80. It's quite variable. This coming week is a good example so I'll show the 10 day forecast. This sort of variation is what we'll have until around the beginning of March (or Late Feb). Come April the beach lovers will be laying out on the sand.

But that's Texas for you .
Endiku likes this.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Snow moving in again tonight (w/some poss sleet), snow tomorrow, but a uber Lk. Effect snowstorm coming Saturday with frigid temps (A weather condition that comes off the Great Lakes-the lakes are so huge they have their 'own' weather system), and snow everyday forecasted to Thanksgiving! Very common, beautiful, and no-one's surprised - It doesn't do to be surprised here when winter hits! :)

Also, it's spitting just enough moisture to lay a nice amount of ice all over everything. I won't be surprised if we lose electricity at some point tonight.
It's coming this way.. 69/54 tomorrow, 38/22 on Sunday.

It's been an unusually cold November here in NC this year. Just put another round bale out this morning, last one ate down to the pallets in 6 days. 6 days/bale normally only happens in late January/early February, but at least it's been dry.

In spite of that, it was a cool but beautiful day today. Perfect horse weather

On the sixth day, God created the Quarter Horse.
On the seventh day, he Painted the good ones.

Yesterday the windchill took us down to -37C and I went boot shopping

Today it was -12 and I did this

Get up, get going, seize the day. Enjoy the sunshine, the rain, cloudy days, snowstorms, and thunder. Getting on your horse is always worth the effort.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that's about to deal with a big drop in temps this weekend! This week has been 58-65 and pretty windy. Tomorrow and Saturday will be really nice, 74* and sunny. Sunday's high is 54.. Oyster roast with friends that night, so I guess the weather will be more appropriate. Lol

I really feel for all of you with snow and negative temperatures... It hasn't snowed here since 1989 (and even then it was very little)

Thank you, amp23! My husband's Aunt in Peachtree City says the same thing! Haha! May seem odd, but we absolutely love the snow and cold!!! My horses don't even know life any different either. We embrace it, trek in it, and think of it's coming at summer's end with anticipation....If we were to ever move, it would only be further North :)
