My horse is at a full care barn. Although I could go out everyday, I find that my horse starts to dread the sight of me, but every other day is perfect, as if I go to long, more than every other day, its like we have to restart.

My horse turned 2 last month, and he has just been started very lightly undersaddle, so here is what my week has looked like in the past month.

Monday Groom, tack up, 10-15min ride. Untack, groom, fly spray.
Tuesday Dont go out
Wednesday Groom, lunge, and or ground work, fly spray
Thursday Dont go out
Friday Groom, tack up, 10-15min ride, untack, groom, fly spray
Saturday Dont go out
Sunday Groom, ground work, stroll along the trails, fly spray

Also, if there are people at the barn, and I have my horse, I usually make him patiently wait there until I am done.

My horse is right out back, and this is my schedule ;

Up and out @ sunrise (All 4 seasons, no matter the weather!) feed/clean pasture/fill water, etc. Always take a few minutes @ this time to groom, nuzzle, give attention

11:00 a.m. - a portion of soaked alfalfa cubes given with some apple chunks

3:30 p.m.- Same feed as @ sunrise (1/2 scoop sweet feed, 2 flakes hay)- hang around, check pasture, etc.

7:30 p.m. - soaked alfalfa/apples, followed by doing some ground work (lunge line, etc.)

Saddling and riding in between, and as weather allows
