Ours are starting to go away. I rode on Monday and they barely bothered us.

Ours have made a reappearance, I had to go crazy with the fly spray today like I haven't had to in ages!

LOL, usually it's our first hard freeze that knocks them all out though they will come back if we have long periods of warm weather. Sometimes we have flies until December, other times they're gone by the first of October. And then sometimes they come back in the middle of January like they did last year .

Totally here to. I wondered if the drought followed by a bunch of rain changed the life cycle. I have no idea, but I can't wait till they disappear again!

With the cooler weather the no-see-ums have made a comeback. I get horrible welts from the nasty little things. Other flies are dwindling. I've had 2 frosts already.

Having some cooler weather and haven't seen the big bombers in a couple of days. Everybody else is still here unfortunately.

I'm in SC and those aggravating things are still annoying our horses too. I'm still fly spraying and I just got a shipment of fly parasites for the other annoying species of flies....UGH - it's a battle!
