If I complain about the heat even once, I give you all permission to kick my backside!!

I am in this country darn near 11 years, and have yet to experience a good summer. Heck, we had one week of sunshine last March and it hasn't stopped raining since. The thing I miss most about Canada is proper seasons... putting away winter clothes and taking out summer just doesnt happen as we wear jackets and wellies throughout the year.

About 2 weeks ago I would have. I got out of my routine. I had to force myself to go see my horse (I know it sounds bad, but I did). I'm back into the routine of seeing the horse after work. I even rode Friday night and Saturday. Spring is approaching and I don't want to play catch up as soon as the weather turns.

The weather her is just whatever. We usually don't ride through monday and friday because I have a lot of schoolwork. On sundays and saturdays we try to ride though. But so far, every saturday has had someone sick or already have plans. Then every saturday night I get everything ready for the horses tomorrow. Then I look outside and it just so happenend to snow three inches over night......

Haha, I know I need it. The horses act silly in cold snaps, which is all we have in Florida really, so it makes me not want to ride. I feel like I'm setting myself up for frustration and failure. And when it isn't cold, my husband is working and I don't have anyone to watch my daughter. Excuses! I still go out a few times a day to grope horse boobies and brush them.

I keep telling myself that Odie is old, and to ride speradically isn't good for him...

But once daylight savings comes, and the filed starts to thaw I have to force myself to at least start working with him on showmanship & maybe lunging since he's coming out of retirement this year.

I love the seasons, but with the winter coming so early and so hard this year, I wouldn't complain if we could shift the balance a little, just a month or two shorter on this cold white stuff would be nice.

Hi everyone! I am reviving this thread because I still need a kick in the pants!!! After being sick for like 2 months, I will finish my second antibiotic (three weeks this time two the first) in three days. During this time we re-did a horse trailer, just finished, and during this time some how I hurt my heel and fear I have plantar fasciitis which I have had in the past and know what it feels like. I can barely walk! I guess I am just tired of being sick, tired, busy, and hurt!! This is crap! I want to ride!!!!! Boo, I am having a pitty party! Thanks for reading my vent.

Sorry to hear n2m, but I got in a short 3 mile ride yesterday afternoon and will dedicate half of it for you. Hehehe

Well, it was a really good short ride and with all the good that was involved in it I can afford to give a little.
