Most of my mare's issues come during her time of the month. She just gets moody, pins her ears a lot and is lazy. I don't have the buck, bite and kicking problems thank goodness. She does pin her ears sometimes for cinching, but with work she is getting better. When I got her she used to paw and beg for her treats which at first I thought was cute. I decided to break her of that habit because I do bring family/friends to see her sometimes and I don't want her to do that. So now if she starts I just say uh uh loud and she stops. She isn't a love me, hug me, kiss me horse, but she's still my favorite four legged friend

Okay I have to explain what happen tonight as one of those WHAT A JERK he can be moments. I was out doing my evening barn check and heard a bunch of commotion going on near the back runs. I heard bang boom crack squeel grunt a bunch of hooves thumping around. I was like WTF is going on. well.....
There he was SAM with his **** tire stuck on the fence post and hes trying to get it off in the mean time he has Butt Head ( they should switch names) Squeeling over in the corner at him because he has Butt Heads jolly ball flat and in his pen. Some how KC's feed bucket was on the other side of the fence and he was trying to pull it in and it kept getting stuck. I just shook my head Gave SAM his tire Fixed BUTT HEADS ball and Gave KC his feed bucket... now as I am giving KC his feed bucket back SAM decided what a great time to chuck the tire at mom WHAMMM over I go face first in the dirt. Needles to say SAM is a bit pissed at me because I took the tire into the barn and turned off the lights Good Night!

LOL! Oh Timber, I'm sorry but that made me chuckle! I have one as well. Night before last I got Jack out and was doing some groundwork with him. I haven't been able to work with him much the last few months due to my schedule, but I am moving next week and he will finally be home with me(I'm ECSTATIC btw, lol). Sooo, he was feeling a bit a**holish. I tied him to groom and clean his feet. Now, I have had Jack since he was a month old and he has had his feet cleaned a million times, but he has always been funny about his back feet. He'll fuss a bit and pull away a few times, I give him a smack and he stands perfectly, kind of our routine. Well he really gave it his all the other night, I ended up having to loop a cotton rope around his foot so I was out of firing range and go through ALL of the basics of giving me his feet(He stood perfectly for his fronts, sigh, he KNOWS what I want) We "argued" for a good 15 min over giving me that foot, I admit I called him a few names and gave him the bi**h eye, lol. Then he apparently got bored with irritating mom and gave me his foot. I love my turdface horse, lol.
