    winter fence repairs

Had no idea where to ask this.....
But twice now I had to go out and tighten and repair my fence. We have the electric white tape.I don't know if its the cold or wind but I have had about 6 insulators bust on me and I go out to find my fence just a flapping.Thank goodness the horses just stayed put.Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.Sure would hate to have to change fencing now.I really like the white tape.

I use the same fencing. Maybe you have it strung too tightly. It is not meant to be tight, but allowed to move in the wind. Install it with some twists between posts and a bit of slack. Part of it's high visibility, esp. In the winter snow up here, is that it moves.

Hmmm never thought about that. I know it was weighed down some by snow and it freezing to the tape.Thanks.
