    wish me luck

The Farmer over the road has asked me to trim his horses feet in exchange for lot of lucerne ( alfalfa ) .
He has two mares and one yearling who need doing, on of the mares is not a problem but the other .......

She is a beautiful dapple grey, no specific breed ( we call a magyar felver ) and weighs in at about 600Kg. She has no respect, no manners, and is 5 yrs old and has never been handled properly ( almost to the point of being wild ). I can only do her front feet as to go anywhere near her backs would mean a visit to the morgue.

If you don't hear from me for a while it's because she has either kicked me or squashed me into a wall or something. Still I like a challenge !
Perhaps I will go completly insane and decide to take her on and train her in exchange for my winters supply of hay.

As I say --- wish me luck

    Yearling
Well I survived the ordeal - just - . I feel like I've done 5 rounds with mike tyson as she threw herself around quite a bit ( ever tried to hold onto 600Kg when it moves ) , I also have a bruise across my back from being shoved into a fence rail and a strange blue-green colour developing on my left leg from being kicked

Other than that things are dandy

The complety bonkers person that I am , I have decided to help the farmer out by training ( that's a laugh ) his horses to behave a bit better. I suppose I will have to start a journal to keep you all informed - if you're interested that is ( let me know )
