    Would love some opinions!

I am basicly trying to make myself feel better about something. I have 3 of my own horses and one boarder on my property. I was planning on just having two of my own but long story and I have three now. I have been mostly trail riding lately and have just been riding my horse Missy because I feel safest on her and she is the easiest to ride. I also having been taking her to the bus stop to give my son a ride home and he loves it. She has been getting all the attention. My friends mare that is here is the most awesome beginner horse. So if I have a friend or family member over to ride they ride her.

So anyway do I feel bad that the other two aren't being ridden more than a few times a month? I will get them out occasionally but the ride is always much more stressful on the two of them. My gelding Charlie I got from my dressage instructor and was taking weekly lessons on him. I got very burned out on that and am selling my dressage saddle and getting a western one. I have really just enjoyed trail riding and Charlie gets too nervous on the trails. He can't stand to be seperated from any of the three mares and will prance around and toss his head. I don't want to sell him, I hate being the person that is buying and selling horses all the time. He also took two weeks to settle in and was extremely high maintence for a while after moving here. He was actually pretty dangerous and it will take someone with a lot of patience if they were to move him again. So basicly I have three horses and I am only one rider and have two boys age 4 and 6 about to be home all day with me and very little time to ride. Is it fair to the horses to not be exercised regularly? Thanks everyone!!!!

PS If anyone in Alabama near Birmingham would love free use of a horse please let me know! I have tried to find people to ride with me before on craigslist and have had no luck!

They should be fine as long as they get ridden at least once or twice a week.

I know there has to be people out there that would love the chance to have use of a horse like it is theirs for free! Only got crazy ones replying to my ad though. 4 messages at 3 in the morning from a drunk lady was my favorite!

I might get hated for this but it is my opinion, if your not using him and you don't want to do dressage anymore and he's no good on the trails wouldn't it be better to find him a home where he'll be used. I mean I'm sure he's happy as a pasture pet but why pay to feed and take care of a horse your not using when somebody could use him or you could get another calm beginer horse anyone can ride, like your sons? Just my thought.

Thanks for your opinion, that is what I am looking for. I don't have any horse friends around here and want to do whats right for the horses. I am just terrified to try and sell a horse after the last people starving my mare.
