would you feel bad?

So last year my friend was horse shopping again. So i was helping her look. I found a horse for her online. So i gave her the website and she was very happy with the ad and then called the owner and made a trip out to nj to see the horse. She buys the horse last fall. She seemed very happy with him. I was happy that I found this horse ad for her.

Then this week i ask my friend(she rides at another barn)how her horse is doing. She tells me that she sold him.

So now i feel bad about it because i found the ad and she ends up selling him because things did not work out at.

would you feel bad if that happened to your friend?

Nope, you provided an ad. She pulled the trigger and purchased the horse.

Why did she sell him after only a year?

If she won't give you details as to why she sold the horse you guys are properly not that close and all you did was show someone a ad... I would not feel guilty about that. A ad is only a tiny little piece of buying a horse, if I person buys a horse off of just a ad they did not do the right homework and again you still would not be at fault but like others said she did everything else (spoke with PO, tried horse and decided to buy) so it is fully on her.

Who knows maybe she trained it for a year and resold it for more OR the horse wasn't fulfilling the job she was asking and she sold to trade up, you may never know but don't feel bad.

I would feel bad for my friend and the horse that things did not work out for them however I certainly wouldn't feel bad because I pointed an ad out to her, that is just ridiculous.

Nope, some horses and people just don't click. You aren't a mind reader, nor a match maker.. so don't reserve any ill feeling about having showed her the ad.
