Wow moment!

I went into the paddock this morning and my horse was sitting on the ground, enjoying the sun. I approached her while she was sitting down and she let me scratch her head without getting up! Is this a big trust thing?

Made me feel awesome!

That is cool. Sometimes Joker is resting when I go to get him , so I just sit down near him and rest with him. I feel like a member of the herd.

Well, it means your horse does not see you as threatening... or you have a disinterested horse, lol. The second time I rode my mare she was laying down in the field, and didn't want to get up from her nap.... it took some persuading and a lot of evil glances from her to get her moving! If this was not the case for you, then I would say your horse likes you =) (my horse likes me now too, just not when I interrupt her beauty sleep, lol)

Next time I will try just sitting when I get near her and see what she does. It was so cool.
