So I bought a six (?) month old foal back in September and she was transferred to the barn at the very beginning of October. Anyway, she was kinda skinny from getting weaned, and the original owner and the seller had never de-wormed her.
Anyway, at that time, she taped at five hundred pounds and she had a halter on that had maybe three empty holes to go.

Well tonight I went to go see her to groom her and desensitize her to the rope a little bit. I went to put on her halter to take her out of the stall, and the damn thing was so tight it cut grooves into her fur! I almost couldn't get it off of her on the last hole!!! 0.o

Luckily I had the foresight to have a brand new adjustable waiting in my tack locker.
Tell me, do weanlings usually grow this fast? xD

LOL, sometimes it seems that way. When my guy was born, his head was so ginormous that I bought a weanling sized halter for him as a newborn. It was pretty big then, but he grew into it quickly. By the time he was 2.5 months old, it fit him perfectly. By the time he was 7 months old, he had long outgrown that and was fitting perfectly in a full sized horse halter. He completely skipped over the "yearling" fit stage .
