Wow, this weather!

Oh my, today was awful.

I got to the yard at 8am, it was already gale force winds and absolutely pouring down with rain! The horses really needed to be turned out for a while, so we put them out. By this time my hair was already dripping wet, my jods were soaked through and my waterproof coat was no longer waterproof!

After a couple of hours, the wind and rain got worse. A couple of horses were starting to get a bit finicky, so we decided to bring them all in. Leading horses in terrential rain and strong winds - not fun!

By this time it was about 2pm, and up until 5pm (finish time) I tried to stay indoors as much as possible By the time I left, I was soaked to the skin, my hair was dripping and I might as well have not worn shoes or a coat LOL

Don't you just love working with horses? And people think it's glamerous, PAH

We are on a hose pipe ban so we do need the rain, but, that doesn't mean I want to be soaked

That sucks Snizard. But it's just rain, it will soak into the ground & be nice tomorrow, lol, wishful thinking for you there! I can't complain, weather has been decent, pretty much all the snow is gone and most of the mud as the frost is leaving the ground. Not out of the woods yet, we could still get another snowfall or two, but it won't stick.

We had an awesome March. High temps near 65 and everything dried out. This month has been bad. Temps around 50 and several days with rain. Hope dries out soon.

We have had nothing but rain rain rain, sheesh. Have only been out for one trail ride this year. Even if we have a good day it is usually during the week when I have to work. Oh well I guess that's why they call this place Raincouver lol

Hopefully Saturday will be nice and the arena will be dry
