Yearling starting to nurse from pony

My TWH yearling has started to nurse off of my pony! She is dry so its not like he is getting milk or anything. And the silly pony is letting him do it.

What can I do, besides separating them (I don't have a separate pasture yet. Working on fencing it in though) to stop this bad behavior??

Hm, I dunno but you could try keeping the pony in when the yearling is out and then swapping them around so they aren't out together?

Without a seperate pasture its a toughi. Maybe put some foul tastin cream on her so he stops

If the pony is letting him, then separation is the only way. He needs to be reweaned.

^^Exactly. The bad thing is that I have heard of instances where a dry mare will begin to produce milk if a foal starts suckling on her. Separation is going to be the only way here.
