I was lucky enough to trailride my friends' horse whom I was to exercise just when he realized that the spring is coming. Think of super fresh. At first it was just breaking into trot and canter, with which I managed to cope quite well, but then he decided that he's a wild mustang and bolted with me in gallop down an icy road, then into the woods, where I managed to emergency stop him and quickly unmount, because it was near impossible to keep him still. The horse that NEVER bolts.
Later I rode Snickers and got some fun and spunky (at least, to him) series of bucks while cantering. He didn't buck me off but it felt like rodeo for a second.
And, of course, they are all shedding like crazy. Who's up for a horse fur sandwich? Or a fur-sprinkled cup of tea, anyone?
I have come a long way, to surrender my shadow to the shadow of my horse.
