You know you're a horse person when:
You make sure they're fed, watered and bedded down before you even think
of doing the same for yourself.
You check out every rig on the road just to see butts and ears. Yes, I even do this while hauling my own!
You stop while riding to let people pat your horse and ask you questions. After all, that shy little girl who looks at your horse like she's just seen heaven may be the next generation's Olympic rider. You should always be aware that you're an ambassador not only for your chosen breed, but for horses and riding in general.
You make a vet appointment at the slightest hack, cough or elevated temperature, but haven't been to the doctor's yourself for longer than you care to admit.
You pay someone to braid your horse's mane and tail for an event, but you haven't seen a hairdresser in forever and just whack it off yourself.
You buy your horses the best feed and hay you can, but buy generic for yourself.
You wouldn't dream of spending money on a new dress, heels, or make up, but will plop down an insane amount on a new saddle or riding boots.
