Well, I don't currently own a Horse, but the Horse I mainly ride (Max) is the same age as me! (14)

    Yearling
Currently I am two years older than the horse I am working with. But throughout my life I have always been a good 6 six years younger than the horse that I owned. The youngest that I had was a newborn when I was 11.

To me when I was younger, age was very important. It was hard to find a more broke horse to build up my confidence (I was 7 the first time I got a horse) that was under 15. Now age doesn't really matter to me.

We have to make their lives full and interesting. If I breakdown first they would all make nice driving horses.
I agree. When I think about it, I have at least 10 years more with my horse. There is so much we can do together, why would I need to buy another horse?

I'm 22 this year and my horse is 4 this year. That's a pretty decent age gap I think.
