    Name: Native Princessa
    Sex: Mare
    Breed: Reg. Thoroughbred
    Age: 15
    Boarded: Yes

I had a welsh ponies before I got my first horse. My first actual horse was a reg. Tb mare that had done it all. She was 15 at the time. Great horse but she was to much horse for me. I was a beginnger rider and wanted a happy, quiet and experienced horse and tho this mare was well trained, she was quiet hot.

I had for 3 years when I sold her to a beginner rider. Not sure where she is now.

    Green Broke
Name: Sonny's Poco Robin aka Sky
    Sex: Gelding
    Breed: Double Registered Paint/Pinto
Age: Got him when he was 3 ( I was 6, bad idea!) sold when he was 7
    Boarded: Yes

I got Sky as a 3 year old from a local breeder. He was gorgeous and was a tobiano paint with 2 blue eyes. He had a marking of an upside down unicorn head on his neck :) Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of him uploaded onto the computer :(

I sold him (traded him) for my current horse, Uma when Uma was 10 months old and Sky was 7. He was more suited for a western pleasure mount and I wanted a jumper. Unfortunately, his laminitis worstened and he eventually foundered and had to be put to sleep only six months after he got to his new home. I miss him terribly!

My first horse that I owned personally was an 8y/o Red Roan Appaloosa mare named Montana. I bought her way back when, I don't even remember the date but I do know I fell in love with her as soon as I met her. She was abused, and out of control under the saddle - no one wanted her because they claimed she was "mean," I took that horse and turned her around. She was the best horse I've owned so far, and won me countless ribbons. By the time I got finished with her I had her original owners offering to pay me thousands to get her back.

Sadly due to her previous life, and being barrel raced too young she became arthritic and because I was focused on my show career and couldn't afford to have a horse I wasn't showing I sold her to an older couple. She recently passed away, but I will never forget her as she was the best horse I've ever owned and was my best friend!

My first horse was an angry little appy that I named Baby Blaze (I was only 8).She was only a year and a half, came from an abusive owner and had MANY bad habits.I lived with my Aunt at the time which is who picked her out and looking back I don't know WHAT she was thinking! But I was determined to bring that horse around.I would sit in her stall every day after school and just work on getting her to trust me.My Aunt decided she was too much to handle and sold her...I was heartbroken.I don't know where she is now..I can only hope in good hands...

LOL. Funny that he would be the perfect match for a 4 year old blond girl. I used to literally crawl up his side to get on and he would just stand like a statue....
I had to laugh at this because our first Paint mare, Lady, that we bought when she was 3 (and still have, now 7) absolutely loves kids, too. Although she is great on the trails for adults and not obnoxious at all, she will 'test' a new adult rider to see what she can get away with for the first 1/2 mile or so...but put a kid on her and she is perfectly behaved, tolerant, and willing every minute from the start to the end. Though young, she's the perfect lesson horse for young kids.
