your horse peeves lol

Romeo- He is a pain in the arse to load. It took like 4 hrs to load him one night after a show.. He is also terrified of puddles (or he fakes he is rather) will not step in them. He used to not pick up his right lead, we still have problems every once in a while but its better. He has an awful canter, and cantering in a circle (or with any sort of control) is one of the hardest things in the world!
Kodee- He can be hard to catch, and he has a SUPER hard mouth (He was a kids trail pony). And when you take off the halter/bridle he will hit you in the head when he swings his head if you aren't ready for it, it is a habit he has had since we got him, and it is a super hard one to break apparently.

The peeves I have with horses are that they eat too much and poop too much. I mean really, it's about all they do all day long! I feel like a servant or slave to them. Always getting their food, cleaning up after them, and cleaning them. Almost seems like I do more work for them than they do for me!

Ok. On a serious note, these are more quirks than peeves.

My wife's horse, Copper, is very nosey. Anything laying in front of him, he'll sniff and knock on the ground. He'll pull things out of your pocket too. Another thing is that he is very stubborn at times.

Ghost licks everything, even metal gates in the middle of winter when it's below freezing.

Lucy is full of spitfire attitude. She's also too curious. Not always a bad thing because she rarely spooks.

Harley is such a "show pony". He can be awesome in an arena, even an outdoor one. Put him on a trail and he gets very alert and anxious. He's gotten better but occasionally slips back.

Chloe has panic attacks. Usually happens when she's tied. She can be tied for hours but in an instant, she'll panic and pull back. She used to throw fits or tantrums when she didn't get her way.

Sheba is awesome. No real bad quirks with her except she likes to go. Both her and Chloe come from the same racing bloodlines. Chloe is Sheba's aunt.
