I started riding at 5, had my first pony at 6. Hmmmmm.....that means I have been riding 51 years. You do the math.

Thank you. Yes, having him put down wrecked me emotionally for a very long time.

I wear a bracelet made with his tail hair pretty much constantly. It gives me comfort to know a part of him is with me.

Glad to see there are some more 'mature' riders here, other than me.

I've been riding since I was teeny...I remember my mom putting me in front, and my brother in the back of her on her huge QH Saddlebred gelding; that was when I was about 2 years old. Sooooo...that would be roughly 23 years I've been riding horses.

Well I was first on a horse before I was a year old (my uncle's horse, riding with my mom). Then I would be on a horse any chance I got, which pretty much meant the nose to tail trail rides ;) When I was 12 is when I discovered you can actually take lessons lol so I did... so I've been seriously riding for 17 years if you count from when I started lessons.
