I have need of being able to haul 4 horses at a time from Texas to Colorado, comfortably over two day trips. We are buying property in Colorado and will spend at least a week there at a time and want to bring the horses most of the time since we will be near BLM and National Forest where we are at.
I have a suburban that will be used to tow the trailer most of the time as I will be towing the 5th wheel RV with my truck until we get a cabin built.
With that being said, it has to be a bumper pull. We also have goats and some small breed cows that I need to be able to haul around so my thought was a bumper pull stock trailer. I have seen up to a 16' bumper pull stock trailer, is this long enough to load 4 horses with the mid-gate closed?
I'm not worried about weight, as the suburban is rated high (top tow package) and my horses aren't real big.
