My Trailer Shopping Has Come To An End In An Unexpected Way

Okay so there was a trailer that I was looking at (on craigslist of all places) I showed my dad the ad and said I was going to email them so I could get their number and schedule a time for me to go out and see it.

I had emailed and gotten the number but when I called they said the trailer was sold. I was so bummed out that I didn't get a chance to look at it. But thought oh well life goes on gotta keep looking.

Well, today is my 21st birthday and at 12am my dad hands me my gift that's wrapped and feels like a gift card. I open it and it's 2 Starbucks gift cards so I was already happy (Starbucks is AMAZING) Then some odd piece of paper falls out of the middle and at first I thought it was a savings bond thing. But I looked at it and saw the brand of trailer I had been looking at and realized it was the trailer title.

I started to flip! I was like "Oh my gosh you didn't!" and I practically slipped trying to get up off the floor and choked on the pizza I was eating.

In the short period of time I had showed him the ad he had emailed the people, got their number, went to check out the trailer, bought it, picked it up, and hid it at my barn. He did this in about TWO DAYS! How I'll never know. And he told the people that if I called to say it was sold.

My dad is the most amazing person ever for supporting me through my horsi-ness all these years and he still continues to. So on my birthday today I woke up early and made him his favorite breakfast as a thank you. He really didn't have to buy it as I had the funds myself. Hmm, I'll just have to get him something nice for his race car(76' Vega, this thing is an 8 second car on the 1/4 mile), maybe pay for a couple of his runs down that track!

I am the proud owner of a 2000 Bee 3 Horse Slant Steel GN trailer! Dad said it's completely safe, serviced regularly just needs a bit of a paint touch up in the horse area and a new running light on the one side.

~ Hope is never light years away ~

Wow! I know you won't wish to spread him out too thin but... Could I have him in July?

Happy Birthday to you, too.

wow wee...your dad is a doll. Does he need a new wife? LOL Wish my hubby would bring me a trailer for Christmas.

I think that would be sweet to get him something for his racing car - and go with him. Daddies like that. My hubby loves to spend time with our daughter...he may fuss about all the $$ she costs but make no mistake. She is his pride and joy.

Love your new trailer - happy trails!!!
