Anticipating is a way for the horse to gain control. All do it--most of the good ones try to do it alot. Its a game they play to see if the rider can win or if they win. It can become a real problem if you let the horse win all the time. Keep them so busy thinkin about what you are asking that they don't have time to anticipate. If they start, make them focus on their feet--hard. Pretty soon they figure out that this game is too hard and they will stop. Some will play every time you ride so the sooner you get them to choose not to--hard work--the sooner they will decide to stop.
