Banjo's first ride!

Banjo had his first ride yesterday! He's a 3 yr old Morgan, who I got a year and a half ago after a long hiatus from horses. I started lungeing him when he was 2 and began to prepare him for mounted work this spring. He is very calm and gentle, and does everything I ask. I think he is a reincarnation of my old horse, Gypsy. We did a little bit of walking in the round pen, just to get the feel of it and try out the steering and brakes. Everything worked fine, and I am thrilled to bits. I have had a good friend with a lot of experience helping me, but my next goal is to get a professional trainer/coach. We forgot to get any pics or a video but here is one in all his tack taken just after.

He's gorgeous! And I love seeing someone else using an Aussie saddle, I just got one this year and really like it!

Yes I LOVE that saddle! It is getting pretty old and beat up but it is by far the most comfy saddle I have ever had. I also love all the rings and things for attachments- great for trail riding.

Thanks all for the compliments! I think he's pretty cute but of course I'm biased.
