barn bolting

I have a pony rescue 2years now, she has terrible manners, I walked into the barn, she panicked bolted past me and slammed me into the wall, I have spent all winter with her, she is close to impossible to catch as well. Why does she panic like this?

She is doing it because she is either terrified of you or she does not respect you. I would say you should get some Parelli DVDs. They can really help you develop better ground and riding skills. If she doesn't want you catching her again it could be either fear of you or disrespect. I don't know what kind of experience you have but getting the DVDs will help you immensely even if you do need to get help from a person it will help you become more knowledgeable about what to look for in a professional.
