This. Nobody rides my horse without my permission and only when I'm there to watch what is going on.

That's probably the smartest idea, but the guy just wants to get to know me better and he always offers to help me pay for stuff.

I'm just going to watch him like a hawk and keep him in line. He needs education. Luckily, we have neighbors that are big into cutting horses and they have great training methods. The guy happens to look to the neighbor for advice, so maybe together we can get him on track.

He broke horses as a kid but he doesnt even know what lunging is 0_o

I know very few... ok no... working cowboys that resort to using tie downs and head positioning devices. IMHO they are just devices that are used to replace a lack of training.

Thank you Kevin. It just irks me when people mess with other people's horses. I had a horse ruined by someone who thought they were a trainer- before I was smart enough to know better than to let someone touch my animals.
