Biting mature mare

Have had a 19yo mare for one month now. She has starting nipping / biting when feeding, grooming, saddling. She was previously bullied & fenced off from other mares. While riding she often doesnt listen, spooks easily & bucks. Any advice on how to calm her & stop her OCD?

IMO she is testing you. You need to look at some of the other threads on biting, there are some great suggestions, and do a lot of groundwork to establish that YOU are the one in charge of her feet, (and her mouth). That should help.

Thanks so much, I def. Understand she is testing. I'll read more about how to change this habbit.
