Talking Bringing Oliver back to work :) His first ride!

Okay I finally was able to upload thepictures from the weekend!!!

He was so good, very lazy but such a good boy!
We are doing lots of walk work, trotting for about 10 minutes at a time then a big walk break then another 10 minutes of trot and then just back to walk. He wants to power through and keep trotting but I dont want him to over work himself. Good news is he isnt breathing heavy at all at the end of BOTH our 10 minites trot sessions!

I tried on his show sheet! Looks great! Such a handsome little guy!

Had to share these pictures! Im so relived and excitedhe is back and working! Only getting worked twice a week from once a week, soon we will add in tuesday nights for a ride but only when he is ready. My lesson on friday my trainer wantedto see his canter undersaddle....GAH we will be holding off on that till we get our trot stronger and longer! Our good nice uphill forward canter...bye, gone see yah out the window, no more! haha oh well baby steps! I havea long ways till show season and will be ready by then!! He really isnt strong enough for the canter right now we just wanted to see how he held himself. well he didnt, not at all, hallowed out, head kite hight, strung out but lazy if that makes sense, two circles round and i was like NOPE not there yet!

Im just so happy to be able to ride, even if its not even for a whole lesson period, we will get there again in time. He is so honost and sweet, trying so hard to please his mama! Nice thing is he isnt spooky! Im going to do some more massage work on his hind end and back. it was extremly tight like a cement block when i got on even after lunging him both ways for 20 minutes. It made me feel on edge so i started riding defensivly with out relising it (still have some PTSD from Klassy bless her soul she was good but on edge and spastic!) as soon as my trainer yelled at me to stop and breathand just ride with no expectations i was fine and the ride went alot smoother, his back loosend up but still wouldnt stretch down on the buckle at the trot.....the walk...bam head down (would have beena 8 for a free walk!!!) lol

Hopefully I can get pictures or video next week, would love to get your input on his progress coming back to work. Not fully in this post as I didnt put this in the critique area, just wanted to share pictures. Oh and my legs suck right now so dont judge me haha I was all out wack for our first ride!

Thanks for looking!

Such a nice, handsome boy. Glad to hear he's back in work!
