    Brittney and Layla's Training Log

I finally get to work with one of the babies! I'm working with Layla. She's a 8 month old foal saved from a PMU farm.
    Meet Layla

    January 2, 2010
    - Today I sat in the babies food pen and only Layla and Denali would come to me. When Denali wouldn't let me do anything with her I decided to focus on Layla. While I was sitting in the food bin, I would play the touching game with her and reinforce her with a clicker. I would tell her to touch and she would touch my hand, then I would click the clicker and the give her a some hay. Soon enough she caught on, 20 minutes in. I got of the bin and stood beside her. She was a little cautious at first but soon enough she let me touch her all over her face. I then made my way to her neck and her ears. She did very and well and after 2 hours, I was able to to touch her all over! I am so happy and excited, no one has ever been able to to this with any of the foals! Tomorrow I think I'm going to whip out the grooming kit and see what she thinks. Check in tomorrow for another update and maybe so pics and/or video. :)
