Default Can we see your horse transformations?

I'm interested in seeing some before and after photos of your horses; taking them from "blah" (for lack of a better word ) to fit and muscled.

And if you wouldn't mind saying how long it took to achieve the results you wanted and what kind of exercises you did.

I have an older TB mare i'm working on - just lunging long and low in vienna reins right now. She needs some serious back muscle (was a broodmare). Just looking for some inspiration and more exercise ideas - she seems to be "stuck" recently, not really changing a whole lot, so I think we need to change it up a little.

Foxy- 15hh QHxappy mare 10 years old. Got her as a lease for something to play with after my beautifull 5 year old WB mare broke her leg :(
Foxy had done NOTHING other than the odd trail ride, had barely any muscle, a dull coat and disgusting downhill conformation. But hey, something to do!

(Yeah don't mind me, no idea what I was doing, had never ridden a horse so downhill before so the first couple of weeks were taken up by me working out how to stay on when the horse's back is on a massive slope haha!)

First ride in draw reins, month after I got her

3 months after I got her

5 months after i got her

Spring Dressage Championships, 8 months after i got her

haha i realised I have my toes sticking out in every photo! *cringes* so glad I've got better in 5 years :S

Then there're Tatiana. 3 year old ottb mare. Got her from my workplace at the time, when I was working for a dealer.
Day I got her home

Lots of speedibeet, Mitavite Breeda and meadow hay later.... a month after I got her home, 3rd ride

8/9 months after I got her

Sold her at the end of last year

Have had others between these two, before Foxy and after Tattie but these mares were probably in the worst way when I got them out of all my horses.

And then there's Holly. She certainly wasn't in a bad way when I started working her and she was quite a successfull elementary dressage horse, but she was quite forehandy and liked to have her rider support her rather than hold herself up.

First few rides on her

Month later

2 months, first comp

4 months later
Spring Dressage Championships

Here's my boy Aramis. I don't have any recent action shots (yet!) but you can see the difference in his coat color, weight and development.

Wow I just love seeing this. I will have to post some transformation pictures once I get my hard drive back.
