Chance's Training Journal.

Hi everyone! Now that im out of parelli Im starting a training journal to watch progress. I relized that more then half of you who said she ahd no respect was right. And no offense to parelli lovers on here. . . but i blame the program 110%

ANYWAYS lets start
May 6,09 - First day of lungeing! She was a little confused since I was faceing her instead on just standing still. So I took it really slow for he first 10 minutes then started transitions, after a while added the canter! AMAZING! When ever i would ask for teh canter in the circle game game She would bolt and buck.
After Lungeing I tacked her up and got on... I knew i was feeling tense, and she fed off that and was giving me attitude the WHOLE ride. Tail swishing mini bucks ear pinning. This wasn helping my confidence after her last freak out. After about 10 minutes of that i got a western saddle and threw that on her. We did some w.t and worked on halting and backiing. Didnt go to bad but still a lot of mare attitude.. Finally I decided I was done dealing with it and my friend got on her and walked ehr while I just watched. I then got back on and again more walking but since my nerves were up I felt bad for putting chance through that because she needed a confident rider. I got off untacked and just groomed her.

May 7,09 - It was awesome! We did a lot fo w.t.c and trotting over a trot pole. Lots of transitions there getting much smoother instead of just falling into them! Shes also starting to remember voice commands YAY!

A stupid horse was cantering and kick the sides of the arenaa so that got chance all wound up which made me get tight because I started to think of that she was capable of doing.... But I pushed through that and go on her back bareback. She was so nice and listening but knowing that horse out in the feild could start any minute couldnt let myself rela this time chance was supportive less attitude. I had to get off once I heard the mare again because my head was thinking of the worst possible situation, even though i KNOW chance would never take off because of something like that.

SO NO MORE RIDING right now im doing a lot of ground work lungeing jumping courses, poles ect on lunge to get mine and her confidence up and establish RESPECT on ground and get parelli out of her head.

Ill write more later! Any advice is welcome!

May 8th :) Well I checked out an AMAZING horse named Catalack[Sp?] Jack! HES AWESOME and hes gonna be mine! Ill have pictures of for critique when I get him :) hes a reg. AQHA 10 11 yrs old Flaxon mane and tail. HUGE and powerful needs some work on bending but hes awesome and a POWERFUL jumper he aims and shoots!

Chance wise.. EH Shes up for sale and i believe someone is interested in her. Yesterday I worked on lungeing and she was being really rude with yanking her head out to teh outside and when i asked to canter she would break gait to a gallops at times but we fixed that. We worked with trot poles as well. Me and her just dont get along anymore and I dont really want to work with her but I have to till she sells.

After a while of that I turned her loose in teh arena and messed around with her and got her to do fig 8s and going over the poles :) Shes a good mare at times. lol

There really isnt much else to say.. Camera is like broke well the wire is so no pictures of chance right now nor jack :( Ill write more tomorrow or later on when I get back from the barn.
