    There isn't much I can add, everyone here helping is very experienced you're getting the best advice I could imagine :)
    But there's another thread that I think you should look into reading to learn about CT, it may help answer some questions you haven't thought of yet - Clicker Training: Challenge Accepted

    I've also gotta agree with Loosie, lunging is very tough on joints - why not look into something like line-driving, just at the walk. This will help teach the horse the basic cues for riding, but without the added pressure of a rider. And you can do it everywhere!! Even on trails :)
