Talking Collection! Finally!

We have finally achieved collection!!!! She's at a good weight now and has built up muscle wonderfully since I got her (she was fat and sassy). For the past two weeks my trainer and I lunged her in side reins and she did great. She went right into using her whole body, no hissy fits or anything. When I rode her after lunging we worked on more contact with her face and she did just fine. When we stepped it up to work on the trot and then the canter everything went just fine! There was a tiny bit of resistance going counter clockwise but she relaxed after a minute or two.

She's come along way since I brought her home! I'm so proud of her and she just keeps improving! I couldn't ask for a better horse.

Our arena is a 5 stride long wall. She can now do a nice collected canter down the wall in 4 strides sometimes 4.5 were as she was easily falling hard on the front and clearing it as fast as she could in 3 strides at the beginning. Her trot has always been relatively calm and collected but not as much as it could have been and she has come miles from last August when I got her!

ahhhh I'm so proud of my big girl! I knew she could be dainty with the right practice...haha.

When life gives you lemons....chuck em at whoever is giving them to you!
I don't want lemons! I want cookies!
