Corkies tricks :D

just a couple of corkies tricks, giving his leg & bowing.
he does know more (kiss, hug & 'on your mark')

& yeah he kept doing the wrong leg at the start, was supposed to be his left leg, then his right but he kept doing his left leg when i was pointing at the other lol it was like me: "this one!" -points at right leg- corkie: "NO THIS ONE, THIS ONEEEE" -kicks leg out- xD

loveee this ponyyy.

It is a cute pony.

Please make your trick cues something more obscure (less every day moves).

When you use such basic movements as your signaling system you are risking injury to unknowing people.

Vet, farrier, etc will have to handle the pony.

Right now if the vet is bending down looking at something and someone waves a hand at the pony it will knee the poor vet in the face.

He only does it if you show him the treat first, he wont do it until he sees the treat.
plus its the voice command too, if you just point at his leg he wont do it.
my cousin taught him about 5 years ago, and hes never kneed anyone in the face or anything like that so far.

Just looks like an accident waiting to happen. Plus, if you say he only does it if a treat is shown will make him want to search and beg for the treat. And because only you and your cousin handle him, doesn't mean you will always be the only ones ever handling him. What about farriers, veternarians, and trainers? Or even judges at shows (if you attend shows).

But kudos to you and your cousin for teaching him tricks, it's a nice thing to pass the time and go to people and say "look what I can do!" I trained my horse to give kisses. Instead of loping when making the kissy noise he will just put his nose on my face. It's sort of cute, because he always kisses me hello and goodbye. But only when I ask him, and I've never treated him for it. Just more of a habitiual trick that he picked up on after a while.

she trained him to do it years ago, & hes been handled by vets & farriers plenty of times since, and we've never had a problem. you need to give the voice command AND the signal, along with the treat for him to do it. otherwise, hes not interested lol
