I really wish I had pictures!!!! I took one but from the angles we were at and the fact he was dehydrated it make him look really skinny and weird hahaha

I'm thinking of investing in white SMB boots for him to show off his fancy foot work at shows. However, I'll be sure to post a video of him and have you guys look before I show off something that's not that great:P

Charles texted my mom a couple days ago, saying he just looooves Dusty:)

He has worked him on the flag a little bit, he said he got a little pissy with it at first but caught on quickly!:)

Tomorrow we are leaving to set out to Charles House!!!!
    I'm excited!

For my 18th birthday my parents bought me a pair of turquoise SMB boots for Dusty, but they are a size medium and I think he needs a small. I also got a pair of size small bell boots, so happy!!:) I'm excited to try them on him.

I probably won't update much until Sunday, but I will take lots of pictures and videos to share!:)

I have a video up of me and Dusty on my YouTube!!! I can't get the link from y phone, but if you look up my channel ( MangoRoX87 ) I'm sure you'll find it:P

    Day 1
    Today was pretty good!

We got to his house around 11:30. We unpacked all my stuff and him and my dad and grandma talked for a while. Then, I rode the 2 fillies he has in training. Was a little difficult to get used to, but it was fun. Then I rode Dusty and he was great, much easier for me to ride. However, I was in Charles saddle and it just doesn't fit like mine, and I couldn't get with him very well. I did fine in the rides in my own saddle!!! His arena was very muddy, so we will be leaving tomorrow instead of Saturday to go to Texas.

    Day 2*
I rode the two white filly's at Charles house, then we packed up and headed for Texas around 10. On the way there we talked about some random stuff and he has a degree in psychology. He did some little tests on me and it was pretty impressive!:) The arena here is IMPRESSIVE. I'll upload plenty of pictures when I get home. We rode Dusty, Dough, and Pepper. Dough had a mild colic so she isn't being ridden the rest of the time we are here. After that, I rode two of the owners bay roan sorting horses. They were fun to ride!!:) we got done around 8:45 then went to dinner. It was a long day!

    Day 3
I am so sore! Riding 7 horses in one day is not normal for me! Lol
I love having this little cabin all to myself! I just hope nobody comes in here because I have made a mess trying to get things out of the bottom of my bag hahaha. I woke up around 6:30 and was in the barn by 7:10. I fed the horses then when Dusty was done I worked him. He was a turd on the lunge line, but was awesome under saddle. The. The owner had a little surprise for me. I got to ride his finished cutting horse!!! It was awesome!! The saddle was Hyde and my feet barely touched the stirrups. I've been a tad hormonal today so I thought I was going to throw a fit over the saddle. He was really fun to ride and I got to ride him on the flag (like a fake cow the horse cuts). I did pretty good for a first time!:) The rest of the day I just took a lot of naps. I pretty much slept half the day hahah. We went to a fish fry buffet for dinner and it was really good! Tomorrow is the clinic...gotta get up early to work some horses!!!!

    Day 4
I got up early and fed the horses. While they ate, I got to take the owners truck into town to grab breakfast for myself and the others. Definitely putting a truck like that on my wish list! It was a 2009 Silverado. A girl can wish, can't she??:) Then I worked Pepper and Dusty down. Pepper had ticks in her ears the day before, so her ears were very sensitive and she was throwing her head a lot. Dusty did really good, and I rode him during the clinic that Charles was putting on. He did pretty good!:) Then during the actual sorting part of the clinic, since Dusty had never been with cows, I rode an older gelding of the owners. He was really sweet and fun!:)

    Day 5
I got to sleep in till 7:30 this morning, felt amazing!!:) got up, fed the horses, then worked Pepper while Charles rode Dusty. My parents got to the arena around 10:30 and I showed them how Dusty was doing and got a video. Sorting started at 11 and I rode in 5 times, didn't end till 5!! It was really fun, we had a few blowouts but I felt myself getting better each time! I rose a bay roan named Levi who was a blast, but when me and the owner were paired up, I rode Pepper and we did really good, but the one cow that was giving every team hell broke trough!:/*
Sorting is definitely for somebody will a big pocket book. $220!! Holy smokes!!!*

    Sounds like fun!

Nothing like riding different horses to make you get a better feel for your own!
Glad Dusty is doing well....I think you are going to have so much fun on him.
