Excersises for greenie

So Ella's coming along really well walk and trot looking nice starting to get consistent paces. Over the last week I've started 'jumping' her over small cross rails about 30 cm. Bear in mind she's almost 6 so in my eyes tiny jumps won't hurt.

What other exercises can we be doing? She was started mid January ridden an average of 2 times a week so she is still very green but quiet. There's not much we haven't done on the ground.

Have you started to work on her canter? That's what I would do next. You can even use the jumps to your advantage. Usually if you trot to a fence the horse will canter out of it, especially if there are two or more jumps in a line (gymnastics).

Holding off on canter till the boss is out of hospital or I at least have someone around. Doing alot of riding alone at the moment.

She's still not sure how to balance with me on board over jumps. Online she's doing about 65cm

I woulnt jump her until you can canter her confidently. You don't want to teach her that she can flop over the jumps at the trot and keep trottiing, you really want her to canter away.
