First Jump!

Ahh I'm sooo excited. I have finally started jumping my greenbroke horse. For a little background information he's a 9 year old 12.3 hh, POA cross gelding. He was started as a 4 year old by me but I had a bad fall and I had lost my confidence every time I rode him over the next couple of years. Then I hd to take him to the stable so he wasn't alone when I took my other horse. finally started riding him cause I'm tired of paying almost $400 a month to have him sit there.

He did his very first jumps on Tesday and we even did a cross-country jump in our lesson. Up and down a bank {it was jsut a hill} then up and over a log on the top of the hill and over and down the log at the top of the hill. He way over jumped it at one point and it bucked after and caused me to fall off but I got back on and we did it a couple more times. Then on Thursday we had an actual jump lesson. Did a couple single cross-rails and then did a line of 3 cross-rails. They were set as bounces for a normal sized horse so we almost 1 strided all of them. He was superb, getting almost every lead. YAY!!!

I didn't get pictures but next time.

Thats pretty cool! I always get back on my horse after I fell off. Ofcourse not if I have a broken arm or anything but that hasn't happened yet!!! Knock on wood :P
Anyways good job on deciding to ride it again and giving it a job :)
