First Ride Off Property Relaxed!

I must be doing something right. Today was our first ride off property that didn't involve any skirmish. He was calm, walking forward, and most amazing to me, on the way home, was so calm and quiet and relaxed I rode at the buckle!! Usually its a power walk and super fast. I thought maybe he was sick! (joke)
Can't wait to build on this for longer rides!

That's pretty impressive for March. I am so looking forward to my horse doing airs above the ground on our first few rides out this spring. He's always such a dope the first few times out.

Weellll, he's about 20. But I've only had him for 8 months, and at this barn for 4 months. I can tell the bond is stronger and so is the trust. Being 20 he's used to some of his 'ways' and we do have regular discussions about his opinion. He is getting used to my opinion being more beneficial. LOL.
