First time away from home

I just bought a trailer and plan on taking my horse to ride at a huge polo fild at a nearby equestrian center. I have had her for about six months, but I don't know how much experience she has away from her comfort zone or in large open spaces. Any tips on how to make this experience as safe and relaxing for her as possible?

First, if you're nervous then she may read off of you and become nervous. Stay calm when you're working and riding her. And try not to baby her unless you always do because of you have a sudden change in your personality she may get shy.
Also, it may help if she has a buddy to go with her. This didnt work for my horse, but maybe for you. Have fun!

Not clear if you have permission to be on the field or not? If you don't, find another place to ride.

If you already do, then make sure you can control her, as it is a different ball of wax to ride one in an unenclosed space vs a pasture/paddock.
