    Is this a good bit??

Ok, so, I'm planning on teaching my Tennessee Walker saddleseat sometime in the near future and I'm not sure which bit I should use. He's currently in an Eggbutt Snaffle and my trainer wants to switch him to a Wonder Bit in the future once we're done with this particular thing we're working on. I've heard a lot of negative press about this bit, so I'm not sure. My friend uses a bit on her show Walker that . . . Swivels . . .? It's kinda hard to describe. It look like this:

Can anyone tell me what the name of this bit is and more about it? Also, any suggestions on bits?

I've always just heard them called Walking horse bits. If you google them, you'll come up with lots of links.
