Grinding teeth as a new habit?

    He gets ridden about 4 times a week. Usually 3 times by me and once by my trainer.

    Does he ever get out of the arena when you ride? It sounds like he could be getting frustrated or bored, or it could be pain, which has already been discussed.

    I think it's very important to get out of the arena every timme you ride, even if it's only for a cool down. But I would try getting him to relax.

    That's a good point. I try to take him out to the hunt field or the hay field after a ride but it doesn't always happen. I'll try harder to make that a habit for him. Our lesson yesterday was in the hunt field and he didn't grind at all even though we were making him actually use his hind end. =)
