    Some horses are just more confident going over poles that others, so practice will build up their and your confidence. Also make sure you a putting yourself in good saddle position to be able to properly go over the poles. If you lean a little forward as you approach the poles, your horse may not be able to get the front end lift to clear the poles. Sit back, look ahead, and squeeze a little to keep the forward motion.
