    To stop square is indeed a (separate) training goal. I don't think it is a natural way to stand for a horse. When they stand square, they usually rest also a hind leg.

    And it is really nice that she is following you through water. That can be really a big issue for some horses.

    She hates water! In puddles and stuff it used to be so bad that she would start snorting and shaking until I reassured her but now she is quiet happy to follow me albeit with an expression if why are we doing this mum!

    I would like to try teach her a que to stand square for at a show or dressage test.
